East Brisbane House is positioned on a beautiful but steeply sloping site on the edge of the Brisbane River.

The house is proposed as a series of spaces that cascade gently down following the site contours alongside a singular organising element – a sculptural rammed earth wall.

This wall curates views and privacy, guides movement and aids orientation within the house.

The delicate but structured layers of textured warm earth promote a close awareness of your relationship to site as you move down through the house and we think it’s perfect for a project on the banks of the river.
